Fringe Fumbles – 202

#1 – Lazy Reporter:

Look closely at the newspaper clipping that Amy found at the Hughes house.  If you read it, you can see that it is just 2 or 3 paragraphs rewritten and rearranged to make a full article.  Maybe it’s just me, but if you plan to zoom in on something like that…shouldn’t you take the time to actually write something?  Don’t they realize that we are watching?  Hello out there.  Click at bottom of post for more Fringe Fumbles.

Fringe Fumble – Psychic Photography

I normally reserve my Fringe Fumbles for breaks or when I have exhausted an episode, but this one is just too horrific to let it slide, even for a day.  It was so bad that I was actually confused until I realized that it was a serious malfunction.

.

Approximately 15 minutes (commercial-free) into the episode, Olivia shows Dr. Boone a photo of the Agent who died in Ability and two photographs of victims with their necks torn out.  I assumed the second photo was the victim Boston P.D. found two days earlier, by the pier.

Photograph of second victim

.

About 15 minutes later, Peter discovers a body by the water.  Wait a minute…I know that guy…

Oops, there he is.

.

HELLO!!  Come on guys…this is not the Fringe that I know and love.  Minor continuity errors, I expect to find, it’s part and package, but this!?!  I almost fell off the sofa.

The Burlap Bear cover has changed

Last week I did a post on Ella’s book “The Burlap Bear”.  I noted that the original illustrations were different from that featured in the episode.  This week, you can see the book on Olivia’s coffee table, but the cover is the original one done by Christensen…

The Peek-A-Boo Ear – 116

When they first show Walter’s omelet, it looks completely normal.  No signs of any body parts…

Looks yummy!

.

Peter reaches for a knife and fork…

Peek-A-Boo!

.

You can clearly see the ear (or something) hanging out of the side of the omelet.  But then when Walter opens the omelet to show Peter the ear…

Gross!

.

The ear is firmly placed in the center of the omelet…nothing peeking out.

Lights on, lights off – 114

When Olivia is using her ‘special’ power to turn the lights off on the bomb, we can see the ones she has turned off.  Note the two on the right hand side…

Lights off

.

The camera flashes to Olivia, and then back to the lights…

Lights back on

.

Ooooh no…one step forward, two steps back.
