Yellow, Red and Blue – yet again

Easter Eggs | Fringe - 118 Midnight | Theories & Speculation | Posted by Scully

For those who might not know, I have a theory about the color pattern of Yellow-Red-Blue.  I believe it’s being done on purpose, although, I have not yet figured out why.  You can read the original post HERE, the first update HERE and last weeks update HERE.

.

I suppose I might be wearing this topic down a bit, but I truely believe that there is some hidden meaning with the colors they have been showing us for the last few episodes.  I found two obvious shots of the color pattern this week, although they are not in the same order as we have previously seen.

Di has found some interesting things involving these colors, and later in the week after a bit of reading, I will do another post on our frustrating theory.  For now I am posting the links, if anyone would like to check them out.

Well, red, yellow and blue are the primary colors within the subtractive color model (the same process as CMYK color printing). So they are pretty ubiquitous.

But you never know with Fringe.

Could be a connection then with the green/green/green/red lights that hypnotize– yellow and blue make green and the red is common to both.

It gets more complicated if you use emmissive light (like from a monitor) instead of reflected light (like from paints) where yellow and green switch roles.

Ie, on a monitor Red & Green make Yellow.

Using either schema, wouldn’t it be interesting if say the colours and their products showed who was who’s child? Like say Red & Yellow make Orange. Maybe Peter & Liv end up being some orange character’s parents in some future episode.

Well, complicated always seems better when thinking about Fringe; rarely are things ever simple. It makes sense too (re: the monitor colors) if you consider how complicated the lab equipment is– computers everywhere. The only orange thing we’ve seen so far though is the vinyl record in the lab notes for episode 115. What if the alternate worlds are represented by the different colors? Where their timelines converge or diverge we get different colors in the show… I don’t know, I think I may be confusing myself. Apologies if I’m confusing you too.

no no Mic, that makes sense! we got a helluva lot of green on this past episode [as i was telling scully], and well, we are definitely dealing with alternate realities/worlds/dimensions/universes on ‘the road not taken’. that would explain why i could only find the red/blue/yellow/white forcing it, as everything seemed intercepted with green, which originally didn’t belong. Who knows, maybe those are our little crossroads between the usually parallel..well..roads.
